SiD Pairs Online 2020

We’re excited to announce our new competition SiD Pairs Online 2020
This will be our most inclusive competition to date. Entry will be open to both same sex and mixed pairs across all categories, including Open, Masters, Teens and Adaptive.
Registration opens 0900 GMT November 1st 2020.
HOW TO SIGN UP
Registration opens 0900 GMT 1st November 2020 with a £25 (plus booking fee) entry per team. Teams of two can be same sex (MM / FF) or mixed sex (MF).
Each workout will require team members to work together. There will be no need to share equipment and social distancing should be adhered to at all times.
An affiliate owner’s guide will be released soon to help facilitate the competition within your gym.
Full kit list* required:
- Concept2 Rowing machine
- Barbell 20kg/15kg
- Weight plates
- Box 24″/20″
- Dumbell 22.5kg/15kg/9kg – depending on category entered
*every piece of equipment isn’t required for every one of the four workouts
Both team members must be co-located. A judge will not be required for any workout, nor will there be any minimum requirements for each workout.
All workouts will be accessible to all, there will be no gymnastics and no rig will be used.
All four workouts will be released at 1800 GMT on Sunday, November 15th 2020
Final score submissions due no later than 2200 GMT Wednesday, November 25th 2020
We will release some sample workouts in the build-up to the event on our social channels.
This competition is for fun, to bring the community together. There will be no video submissions required, nor will workouts need to be judged.
Your place on the leaderboard is purely for bragging rights.
All teams who enter will be eligible to win a number of great prizes, with the winners drawn at random. There will be additional prizes for select gyms with the highest numbers of teams entered, again winners will be drawn at random.
The Open category is for all athletes who wish to compete in SiD Pairs Online. Same sex or mixed sex teams allowed.
Masters (70-79 / 80-89 / 90-99 / 100+) Please note that in order to qualify as a Masters team, both competing athletes must be over the age of 35 and the Masters age category is determined by both athletes combined age. Same sex or mixed sex teams allowed.
Teens (28-31 / 32-35 / 36) Please note that in order to qualify as a Teens team, both competing athletes must be 18 and under, with the Teens age category is determined by both athletes combined age. Same sex or mixed sex teams allowed.
Adaptive* Teams will consist of 1 Adaptive athlete + 1 open category athlete. Same sex or mixed sex teams allowed. *An ‘Adaptive Athlete‘ includes individuals with physical or neurological disorders, amputees, wheelchair users, spinal cord injuries; traumatic brain injuries; visual impairment; and other serious illnesses.
